I think she is not living within her means.. ...
If they have decided to stretch their $ this way she should not be ranting...

I am being meant ...

It is partly the couple's own fault for being under hefty loan.

- why buy car when hubby-to-be is on contract and seems to be ill afford to own one. They should have saved up for property first, then car as property is an investment, car is an expense.

- why spent $500k for a 4rm? when they seems ill afford to do so and now complaining and worrying over the hefty loans. why not 3rm? why not in the outskirt where prices are lower? why not stay at their parents' place for the initial years till they saved enough?

yup, agree. She could have gone for a cheaper flat. And why get a car when your salary is on average only $2500 per person.

Sorry, I have not sympathy for people like this. They made their beds, now they have to lie in it. Cannot blame anyone but themselves.

Why resale 4-room and not 3-room flat?
Why think about wedding dinner when you can't afford one?
umm.. sometimes I wonder if these articles are out just to push people to blame gahman.. ...

Observed that they have received much education but are not financial savvy :? Do they belong to the new generation that only know how to blame the government for their predicament when everything is actually within their control

reading thru the abv link, I cannot help but sense opposition activists campaigning for selection voting.

apparently, 'many' out there (refer link) lack financial management skills and are living out of ones' means. And conveniently lament and pt finger at the govt.

gladfully kiasu club members are more objective and matured ;p

Well said!!!! .......we need resilient Young people that take
responsibility for their own life and livelihood and not depend
all the time for handout from parents or government and can
live within their means ..........

If not the young foreigner will take over as they have more resiliency coming to SG looking for a better life than where they are from...

Young people need to look beyond the comfort zones that the gahment and parents have created for them and come back to Earth .....haizzzzzz :slapshead::pray:
