Thanks to Youtube, I've been listening to lots of oldies recently, songs from my childhood. As I reminisce, I suddenly have this strange thought that if I were able to 'turn back the clock' - btw, this is a famous song back then, can't remember the band though - it has to be at p6 cos tat was the happiest time of my sch life. Though it was psle year, I had such great friends. And what would I do differently? I would definitely try to be less shy and self conscious. I must be one of the most shy boy in the sch.
That's me. What about you?

For me, it will have to be Poly 2nd year.
Nothing to rave about during pri sch cos felt constantly in the shadows of the more capable ones.
Though CCA time was memorable, sec sch was not the best cos growing up as a teen, i felt very awkward and misplaced.
Poly 2nd year, had a bunch of very 'click' groupmates; dating my dh at that time too.
And what would I do differently? I would understand and be less upset over the strict curfew that I had to observe during dating.

Today for our family outing, we drove over to the East. As we passed by a particular bridge over at Tampines area, I recalled decades ago crossing over that bridge to visit a relative. It dawned upon me that memories can be one of the saddest thing in life as if it is bad, it hurts, but if it is good, it hurts too to be reminded that time flies so fast and that things kept changing and people come and go, leaving behind only memories for us to cling on.markfch wrote:As I reminisce, I suddenly have this strange thought that if I were able to 'turn back the clock'

After reading this, I suddenly felt very fortunate that my mum is still around. Dad is gone. I had an uneasy relationship with him. But mum is always the pillow I fall back on whenever I mess up. Make me want to do something for her. Nothing too extravagant otherwise she'll get worried that I'm migrating or something. Maybe a cut of my july bonus lor.jedamum wrote:Today for our family outing, we drove over to the East. Memories
My mom passed away a day before my dad's birthday in Dec last year. It was a sudden passed out and passing away on the same day. Heart attack.
If I can relive my life again, any age or day is fine as long as I can have my mom back with us. We will seek immediate medical care and check to ensure of her health.
Take good care of your folks - treasure them so that you do not look back and regret not doing things one should have done.
