What is your savings per mth??

Postby kids_r_innocent » Thu Jul 15, 2010 12:46 pm

Hi hi!!

There has been a discussion on how much money is required to bring up a child.

What about how much do we save or set aside per mth? It seems that most S'poreans are quite rich (driving luxurious car and living in luxury), am juz wondering do you save up at the end of the day?

As for me, i am no where in the category mentioned; juz living in a old HDB estate and a SAHM. Our savings are peanuts as my hubby is the only hardworking sole breadwinner....

For someone earning eg. $10k, saving $3k is 30%
For another earning $3k, impossible to save 100%

Hence, perhaps tweak to % of income saved is more reflective of a person's saving habit? My 2 cents

Oh... of course there are sacrifices!! We cant spend and save money like when i was working. In any decision made, our kids are still the priority!!
