When did you kid start to become vain?
When did you kid start to become vain?
My ds is turning 6 next mth. Recently he started to become a real vain pot. He will insist that we comb his hair (don't know why he can't do it himself?) after every bath. I installed a full view mirror at home and he'll spend quite a few minutes 'admiring' himself in the mirror .
When we as much as lightly pat his head like we always do, nowadays he'll immediately resist and exclaim 'hey, don't mess up my hair'. In the car lagi champion. He'll use the vanity mirror and keep looking at himself.
Oh man, not even 6 yet and already vain pot. Must I expect BGR problems when he goes P1 next yr?

My elder boy started paying more attention to his hair and how he tucked in the sch uniform in P5.
Like your boy, he does not allow anyone to touch his hair anymore.
He walks like a robot (hubby's desc) when he is in his sch uniform, reason being he does not want too much crumpled creases showing.
While walking to the bus stop, he wld check his hairstyle again and again using the camera fn of the handphone.
In the lift, he wld check his hairstyle from the time the door closes to when it is open.
Vain??? I think it is part of personal grooming

DD will be a year old next month.
Since she is the first grandchild in both our families, you can understand the amount of paparazzi attention she gets from our families and friends.
At about the tender age of 2-months young, whenever there is a photo-op, DD would turn to the camera/HP/video/dvdcam, look at it intently, sometimes smiling (sucha diva) and viola! pitcher purrfect
She cannot take a bad picture, my baby love.
It doesn't matter what she was doing prior to having her pic taken, she could be swimming, watching her dvds, reading her books, riding her bike or simply having her hair washed.
She would locate the cam immediately, look at/into it and wham!
Incidentally, one of my colleagues has 3 DDs.
Her oldest is exactly like my DD, self-aware and loves the camera from a tender age. Her youngest is camera-shy but will pose if asked. Her middle child is a chit-chor-lok (always on the move, super kancheong spider). Whenever we asked her to smile for the camera, she would look like Paris Hilton caught with her knickers showing i.e. eyes like a deer caught in the headlights, limbs flailing everywhere, hair in disarray. Super hilarious
