Receipients of School's Prize Giving Ceremony

Postby radiantmum » Tue Nov 16, 2010 3:01 pm

My kid's school is only giving out prizes to the first of each class, first in school and first in each subjects. Was told this is the norm of every school? I would have thought at least top 3 in class? What's yours like?

Maybe each school has a different policy about this.

My DD's school is going to give to top 3 student, best of each subject and good progress award.

I read in this forum, some schools give up to top 5 student :D CMIIW

Top 3 in standard & top 5 too? That's very generous of the school !

I begin to wonder why policy differs from school to school - - budget constraints?

Oh yeah, your nick reminded me, those who do very well in PSLE will also have prizes. Yes, the more the better.

Thanks! He didn't get what he wanted but I'm very glad at least he got a prize! Need to do better in Chinese next year though, SA2 CL was disastrous.
