Tracking your kids with GPS trackers

Postby chasingcars » Fri Dec 10, 2010 4:03 pm

In the light of the recent issues on gang fights and slashings, as well as missing kids from time to time, what do you think about using GPS trackers so as to protect / keep track on where your kid is?

Actually if the child is carrying a smartphone like iphone or Android, you can install an application that can show you his location. Provided the child does not turn it off.

I think it probably works for primary school kids. I have seen very young kids wearing the GPS tracker around my block. Older kids will probably just turn it off or throw it away if they don't want you to know where they are.

whats the chance of it staying on the child anyway. do you expect a surgeon to implant it into his body. if you trust your kids you wont have any intention of installing it anyway...
