Questions for Mac book

Postby silver88 » Thu Dec 30, 2010 11:09 pm

My boy will be joining Maris Stella high next year and I have 2 questions regarding MacBook

1. May I know if the differences between MacBook and MacBook Pro very big? If I get the cheaper version for my boy, will the speed affect his work in school?

2. Is the insurance necessary? Not sure if most of the student bot the insurance or do you think it is not necessary?

Thank you in advance for your help.

What will your kid be using this MAC for? Graphic intensive processing?

It is good to buy the 3-years Apple Care. Whenever there is hardware problem during that 3 yrs, you can get free servicing/repair

Didn't know Maris Stella high advocate/must have Mac Book.

I just bought the MacBook pro.

To be honest, all I really need was a MacBook. The stuff I do really doesnt warrant a higher spec computer. Likewise your son.

Applecare: If you are IT incompetent and this is your first Mac, my view is get Applecare.
