CNY - do you look forward to it?

Postby tankee » Wed Jan 12, 2011 10:31 pm

Chinese New Year is just around the corner once again.

Somehow, this year the feeling is mixed for me.

Do you look forward to CHY? if yes, why?

If you don't, why?

come share & chit-chat.

I don't know if it is just me or what, but I seem to find that it is very much quieter this time of the year as compared to last year, maybe economy not so good? :?

a very frivolous comment here. Just cut and coloured my hair today for CNY. Have not had such short hair since 15 yrs ago. :|

No, I dont look forward to CNY, coz I find dh's family very fake, has been, is now. Endless sitting around doing nothing but trying to numb oneself with the tv programmes. Shudder........

Used to enjoy the visitings but no longer. In fact, i dread it so much i've been thinking of escaping overseas for the past few years but never get round to doing it.

No...not looking forward to it at all....Dread the spring cleaning and the chatting sessions with relatives that you only see annually. Can't escape cos MIL is into celebrating CNY.....

Anyway, here's wishing everyone a happy and prosperous CNY. May the year of the rabbit bring health, wealth :moneyflies: and prosperity to you & your family. :celebrate:

Oh I love it! It's great to see all my cousins and catch up with everyone again. I don't do the visiting rounds as it's too taxing with two young kids, but I love the main gathering. :)
