Setting Up Business (Childcare, Enrichment)

Postby Sniper Angel » Thu Jan 20, 2011 12:59 pm

Hi All,

Any idea to set up childcare centre, enrichment centre (Berries, LCentral) where get their francise? Is it going to cost a lot to set up & estimate when would get the investment return?

Anyone can share thier business opportunities or if you know of any method?

Cherie Hearts is very open to Franchising. Just make an appt and go down for a chat. You must at least have $250,000 capital if you want to be a franchise. The monthly salary you can make is about S$10,000, provided full house lah. They help you with the location sourcing, advertising, teaching materials etc. There is also a royalty fee (a five figure sum) you must pay them each year.

Pro Teach student care is also open to franchising but I heard from someone that student care centres belong to the sunset industry (no growth) coz schools are all going single session soon. The profits will be affected coz there is a limited number of people you can accommodate at the location.

I think Berries has a franchise scheme too. Just go to their website for more info. Usually they will want to speak with you personally before granting you the franchise.

The most challenging part about the child care or enrichment centre businesses is the lack of good teachers. It is so hard to find teachers.

Then maybe you want to consider Ah Koon Coffee, operational wise .. seems to be less complex.

To open a child care centre or franchise is no easy task. MCYS has their set of rules and regulations. It's not just a matter of "I have the money so I can open one." You will have to take up courses too. For further details on opening a cc, you may chk it out from their website.

As for franchise, many cc do offer this. Usually they will state this under their website too and you just need to contact the person stated will do.
