No shelter from the rain for primary school pupils

THE nearest overhead bridge to Cantonment Primary School in Cantonment Road is about 300m away. It is rather near and yet far enough for pupils to get drenched during rainy days.

Pupils and pedestrians using that overhead bridge are in need of a sheltered path to the newly opened primary school.

While the bridge is a safe, convenient and efficient means of crossing for pupils and residents of the nearby flats, there are some areas of its design that can be further improved.

- Each side of the bridge should have an additional set of stairs to cater to the increase in pedestrian traffic.

- One side of the bridge should be extended to the void deck of Duxton@Pinnacle so pedestrians need not worry about getting wet during rainy days.

- A sheltered linkway should be built between the school and the overhead bridge.
