Aiyo.. They will soon get a hand of it.. Ask them go wet market buy groceries and I'm sure they are able to pick up some bargainin singlish without any sweat!!

creates a lot of headaches for parents when their child came back with their results for english.

do you guys think it's possible to speak singlish and yet be able to write in proper english?

can 'lah'... shdnt be too diff 'mah'... try 'lor'... easy peasy 'what'

lol i think parents do play a part in teaching the child to speak or write in good english.

kids are very easily influenced by what the parents do especially young children P1 P2 etc
they are good at "copying" and they will also think if my parents are speaking like this like that then it should be right.
when the time comes to changing this habit of speaking singlish it might be too late, damage has already been done.

was just telling DS not to use the word lah & lor in his english one moment when i answered DH " dun want lah " the next second :spank:

then DS said " orrrrr, mummy also said lah :oops:
