Difference between Crochet and Knitting

Postby Happy Mama » Tue Apr 12, 2011 9:15 am

I have never tried crochet and knitting before, and was wondering what is the difference between these 2 (other than the needles)...

Which will make nicer stuff? Crochet or knitting?

Thanks much! :D

Knitting uses two needles, Crocheting one needle.

Have you seen the items produced by these two methods? Easier to see and understand than to describe.

Knitting is commonly used for sweaters. Crochet is used for thinner blouses, tops, doilies, piano covers, bags etc.

It's not difficult to learn how to knit and crochet. Get a Japanese book. Just look at the pictures and learn. That's how I did it as a kid.
