Should do much more than corporal punishment.

Other kids are affected by the violence too, might result in some psychological problems.

The boy had undermined the teacher's authority and was rude to walk out on a class. Children today mix up confidence with rudeness. I believe the teacher already had a mental issue brewing and that boy's action simply triggered it off.

Even if boy not an angel, I believe the teacher should also control her anger and not attack the boy.

Grabbing him by his hair is no joke. Can at least ask to do face the wall, pull the ears or make him write 1000 lines or do detention by head master?

If teacher cannot control anger, and attack the boy right in front of all the children, is violence.

I agree. The teacher should not resort to such violence. There are other ways to punish the boy.
