SIM has more undegrads than either NUS or NTU. the fact that MOE also subsidies the fees for the undergrad course at SIM speaks volume

It is getting more acceptance, and SIM has been around for decades. BTW they pay their lecturers well

What could be the difference like in terms of course fee compared with NTU or NUS ?

Thot most courses at SIM are those not available at NTU/NUS ? How good is yale-NUS degree compared to degree from Yale ?

Not my first choice but if there are no other options for the family budget... at least these young people get to become graduates. How the employers judge the value of these degrees is another matter.

These "twinning" degrees never sound convincing to me, unless it is for a course that is very technical like this one: http://www.sim.edu.sg/News/NR/Pages/RSA ... 10525.aspx .

The whole point of studying in Yale includes being there, experiencing the history, culture, people, diversity, and life outside of the school. Getting a Yale-endorsed degree in Singapore is like getting a scuba diving certificate in the Sahara. Yes, you get a degree... but how much of Yale is in that experience? :?

yes, quite true. The most important thing is the relationship you have with your classmates. You can develop future business connections through that, which is more valuable than the certificate.

However, if you're looking for an employment, the Yale certificate would be a prized certificate for MNC employers.

therefore the Ivy league unis are telling the SG PSC - please tell the scholars NOT to rush through the degree, shortening it to 3 years from a 4 year course, and the scholars these days are encouraged to take non-relevant modules to enrich their student life and to participate / contribute in community living in the uni as well

Most private school certs don't seem to get recognise in the sectors. Pretty waste of time and cost.

Why never come up with a list of certs that are recognise?
