SINGAPORE: Furniture store IKEA is recalling its ANTILOP high chair because its belt can open unexpectedly when in use, thereby creating a fall hazard.
IKEA said it has received eight reports of the belt opening, including three resulting in minor injury when a child fell from the high chair.
IKEA said only ANTILOP high chairs from supplier #17389 with production dates 0607-0911 (YYMM) are affected.
The supplier number and production date are moulded into the underside of the seat.
Customers with these high chairs are urged to immediately contact IKEA Customer Service at 6786 6868 or visit the Exchange and Returns Counter for a replacement belt - free of charge.
IKEA said no other high chairs are affected, and it apologises for any inconvenience caused.
