Politician's Insensitive abt Christianity.. another issue?

Postby HopeandSorrows » Sat Feb 04, 2012 3:21 pm

Haiyo. Not again.. :siao: I opened my email just now and I saw this ... the email chain is little long. I :xedfingers: and show the portion below. I think they not pleased by what former MP Siew Kum Hong said on Facebook on Christianity and also because he is pro gay..? :skeptical:

erm...what GRC and political party was he from? The name very familiar and the photo is familiar..

I'm not a very religious person, in fact I only believe in doing good and not doing things against conscience and to help the poor whenever it is within my capabilities.
:rahrah:

(P.S: Dear Moderators, if the picture you think is offensive please let me know. I will remove it   )

Yes, it's definitely blasphemous. I'm surprised a former NMP posted this on his facebook (with such language too!). How did our government so called handpick these NMPs? Based on what criteria? Doesn't he know the basic respect for all religions? (Ask him to recite his pledge!)

oh dear ... I got a shock when I saw the picture.

That's totally unacceptable behaviour by Siew Kum Hong!!! :nunchuk:

HopeandSorrows, Siew Kum Hong does not belong to any political party or any GRC/SMC. He was nominated into parliament by the government.

I'm glad back then the government didn't renew his NMP appointment. Singaporeans don't need such a such wayward parliamentarian who goes around preaching gay values and now, possibly anti-Christ views :frustrated:

I wonder how the NMPs are selected by the government. What is the criteria to become an NMP? How much are they paid every month? What is the motivational factor in them accepting such posts? Just wondering about the roles of these NMPs..
