Budget 2012, Do You Benefit Or No??

Postby Sniper Angel » Sat Feb 18, 2012 9:47 am

The Budget 2012 had released. Do you really benefit or get nothing at all.

Now then reduce the foreign worker inflow is it too late? :siao:
Income tax relief remain the same old old at $3,000 since 10 years ago until now. Never adjust at all.

As a non-smoker, the tax increase is good.

Other than that...seems nothing much benefit.

Actually foreign workers lesser not really much can do to help...Think if reduce the "foreign talents" might be more helpful, especially those who are competing the jobs that Singaporeans want to work in, like office work, food-court cleaners, toilet cleaners etc... If reducing the no. of construction workers, think most Singaporeans also don't want to work as one... Just my 2 cents.

It's ironic, isn't it? We want to reduce the number of foreign worker but they are some jobs that Singaporean don't want to do. Still I think we have too many of them here, reduce their number, better late than never. Too many of them could erode our identity and social cohesiveness. I am worry for the potential social cost that come with them. So many high profile murder cases are involving foreigners, as do some other violence crimes. They initiated strikes and refused to come down from the crane before their demand was met. So much social disorders. However, I welcome west malaysians, they have no problem assimilate into our soceity.

No incremental benefit at all, and its absolutely fine.

Why must a budget hand out goodies every year? Balanced budget cannot meh?

I agree, to a certain extent. Why should people aways expect to have goodies for themselves ?

Personally, I do not expect and do not want any benefits from the Budget. It is for the whole of Singapore, but I would prefer they address the issue of expanding the assistance to the poor, needy and elderly who really NEEDS help in daily living and healthcare expenses. These are the citizens who truly need benefits from the govt. Their plights are the main priority, hopefully all our MPs do not under-estimate their needs.

why the gayment need to spent tax payers $ to buy public transports instead of the transports companies themselves?
i thought they are earning tons of profit for the last few years?

I saw a funny notice outside Mad Jack Resturant at Sembang Bedok last week. Forget to take a photo :p. They put something like "Sorry we have to close our business temporary due to lack of manpower." :slapshead: Sometime go wrong some where right?

Yeah, I also not very happy that why use taxpayer's money to fund for the new buses....
somemore needs to spread out this improvement....for the next few years... :faint:

ERP collect some much $$$ ....
Can immediately improve our transport system....
Transport fees every year increase due to inflation....but Transport company still make money and listed somemore....

Where is the logic?? :stupid:

I think better give us the funds for the inconvenience caused due to our congested public transport system.....

At least :moneyflies: in my pocket to keep our mouth shut....

Should issue more transport license.... :nunchuk:
