Unsolicited phone calls

Postby blessed777 » Fri Mar 23, 2012 2:59 pm

When a caller ask if we speak Chinese n when we say no the caller hung up, is the caller a non English speaking sales person trying to offer product/service or scammer ? Just curious :scratchhead:

Usually when i receive such calls, it's from a china number saying that I've won millions of dollars. I would just answer them in english that I don't know and hang up.

I've received 2 that asked me to participate in some form of survey about my travel plans or something. when I declined once, the lady kept pleading that she was a worker and her job depended on it. Hung up then. This happened quite many months apart. I don't know what exactly they want to know but don't think I want to risk sharing info with these.

My nephew always answer his calls in his old man voice with a'喂".

One day, immediately after '喂", this man started crying in chinese '爸爸,救我,快拿钱来救我'。

If you do not wish them to call you anymore, use English or answer 'Hello' with an English/American accent. That would get the other party to hang up almost immediately.
