Alex Ong, 25, pushes elderly lady off the bus

Postby Ichigokun » Thu Jun 07, 2012 11:07 pm

Alex Ong, 25, was clad in a white shirt with a black scarf. An elderly lady on the bus pressed the "stop" button too late and Alex told her off. (he shouted at the old lady.)

He then threatened the old lady with a slap, the old lady replied him (she did not shout as loudly) and said "what is your problem?"

Alex Ong then pushed the elderly lady out of the bus (the door was open and she fell out of the door) and shouted "THIS IS NOT UR BUS."

An uncle went up to help the old lady by not letting Alex get away easily and pushed Alex back. (Commending him here :) Good job. 英雄救美) XD

Another young lady, clad in a black dress told Alex "You shouldn't push an old lady like that." and helped the old woman up the bus and the bus driver escorted her to a seat. (Good job (thumbs up for this lady! :))

Alex then shouted "HEY, OLD LADY. WHAT DO YOU WANT!? Blah blah blah..." I'm too pissed at him to say the full quote

Alex is like an ah gua. No offense. I think four Hokkien words suits him here

KAO BEI KAO BU.

His father claims Alex is autistic.

I don't really think so. He might just be looking for a way and excuse to get away with what he did.

Do you think Alex is in the wrong? I think so.

He utterly shamed Singaporeans.I hope there weren't any foreigners on the bus.

What do you people think?

Here's the full story and the video attached.

Kudos to Dennis Lum for taking the video, the old man and the young lady that helped the 76-year-old woman

a police report should be made, and he should be charged for criminal use of force / criminal intimidation / attempted manslaughter

this is certainly more serious than the Samantha Lo case (press until shiok / my grandfather road graffiti)

The most regrettable part is that he seems to blame everyone else for his rash act but didn't think he needs to reflect internally how he can improve. I expect better things from a 25 yr old.

And with anger management issues like that, he wonders why he can't find a job? Should look at his attitude towards life before blaming the world at large. The world is not fair. The world often has nasty people. Most of us have been bullied in one way or another. Most have us have our own issues (depression, being slow, inability to cope with stress, etc). It's not great that people treat others like dirt. It doesn't mean that it gives anyone the right to be mean and abusive. Pick on someone your own size, man. :nunchuk:

Alex Ong should be happy that the old woman did not sue him.

If I were the old woman I would create a scene and then press him for his address and phone number to sue him at court.

Btw, at the video, pause at 0:05 and 0:16

Uncle nearest to the camera eating popcorn while watching "show"? xP

The bus driver come to the back to help the old lady then the uncle faster keep popcorn. Don't wanna kena fine XD

He wrote:“I have a deep respect for elders. The only reason why I did any of this was because deep-down inside, I felt offended, I felt the need to defend myself...

Woah, man. This Alex should look at himself.

"I felt offended."

Offended of what!? The old woman didn't do anything to infuriate you what!?

"Deep respect for elders"

Yeah. So respectful. If he was respectful he could've taken a step back and keep very hard control of himself to not PUSH an elderly lady. He should put himself in the elderly lady's shoes, how would he feel if he was the old lady instead and got pushed out of the bus for no reason at all?

"I felt the need to defend myself."

Defend yourself of what? The elderly lady did not threaten to slap you. The old lady should be the one feeling the need to defend herself!

Police confirm they are investigating the case as one of the voluntary causing hurt.

http://sg.news.yahoo.com/man-says-sorry ... f-bus.html

“I do not represent a society of decaying morals. I’m a product of a society that has abused me, neglected me, and ultimately, misunderstood me,” the former Canberra secondary school student said.

Ong also explained on his blog that he had “never intended to injure the lady, that everything happened as a culmination of a lot of anger that has been simmering inside me.” He set up the blog a day after the incident with the intention of clearing his name.

He also explained that his anger stemmed from not being able to find a good job and constant abuse and bullying since young.

Well he blames the world and everyone except himself!

I doubt he is remorseful !
