Documentary on Education

Postby Chatty2PM » Sun Jul 01, 2012 11:05 pm

Hi everyone, we are a group of Temasek Polytechnic Students, majoring in Moving Images. We are currently doing a project where we are suppose to film a documentary about Education.

Our documentary will be on education where we would be delving deeper into Singapore’s education system by emphasising on grades, primary schools and what parents do to achieve these 2 things. It is to show the difference between the original motive of education and compare it to today. Also, it is to let parents understand that education is not just about grades but also about other values.

Now, we are looking for case studies, 2 categories of parents;

1) Parents with kids aged 4-5, going for Primary 1 registration.

2) Parents with Primary 3-5 kids, having tuitions (but kids are having good results) and enrichment classes.

We will have a short research interview with you and hope that you can further help us by featuring in our documentary. If you have any queries or are able to help us, Please feel free to contact us by emailing to bingqiling93@hotmail.com .

Thank you so much^^

The documentary film critically analyses what is considered socially relevant in a new education system which brings out the most potential in all of humanity whilst also detailing specific educational methods from a wide range of sources on how to nurture social skills, critical thinking techniques and a larger variety of important practices to positively reinforce from our earliest years onwards.

Here in England the penny has dropped, educationally speaking. Tough new punctuation and grammar tests for our P5s. It is all so exciting:

TS, you should look at the few tuition threads and gather parent's views..

Many have already been discussed.
