The article listed 3 characteristics of an ugly Singaporean parent. I only have 1 characteristic, so that makes me 1/3 USP :rotflmao:

Frankly, I'm reasonable. The teachers are nice and reasonable. A teacher used her hp to call me and I didn't even use the number when I have some qns for her. I didn't even text her hor. Maybe that's why she dare to call me again on her hp :rotflmao:

Once one of dd1's teacher didn't let them go recess, I asked why, she told me the teacher forgotten. I didn't qn the teacher, I just told dd1 she should have reminded the teacher. She told me the class monitor and monitoress did not say anything wor. I say cannot depend on others, depend on others you go hungry.

For nice and reasonable teachers, give them space so that they will not dislike the kid because of pushy parents.

What happen if I encounter not nice and unreasonable teachers? Well I'm still 1/3 USP, so don't play play :rotflmao:

any shortcoming is entirely because my kids are not the smartest in town in their cohort

if they make mistakes, it is because they have not learnt what was told or did not pay instruction when it was given

if they are punished as part of the class/group even though they are innocent, well, nothing wrong too. the sun shines on both the wicked and the good, likewise the rain. so why complain? next time tell your friends to behave, or try to be your friend's keeper when possible. if they know better, they should initiate so that the group don't get into trouble

they have learnt to look out for their friends' well being

many more

*I am open to suggestions.
*I still believe that my child should look presentable before sitting for any exam.
*I do not need teachers to give him 1-1 before or after school. But I hope teachers do not ask son's tutors to coach him for homework given.
As long as there is open communication, I am fine with it.
*If son is part of a group in class which is punished for something, I close 2 eyes.

I would choose option 4, but I dare say so far I have not shown any ugly side to any of my kids' teachers.

I feedback about some of the school policies previously (due to unfairness which even the teacher-in-charge was aware), but I still accepted that the school has the right to decide on how they want to conduct enrichment and I as a parent just have to accept the unfariness if they do not want to change the policies. If there is anything, my kids got to learn that not everything is fair or equal in this world.
