I am suddenly reminded by an old news content abt a prc fireman who would only help pull out the victims from a bus/van crash if they gave him $.

patients in China have to present gifts and money to surgeons and nurses before they go for surgery. There were reports that patients who cannot pay cash deposits were turned away in hospitals even it was life threatening and some cases the patients died because of this. :slapshead:
