Happy Birthday Singapore!

I know a lot of kids will say the pledge at 8.22 pm. Will you join in too?

Yes... regardless of how kiasu, kiasi and kialang we are, that's what make us uniquely Singaporeans, because these characteristics cut across all races and religions :) Let us not take the peace and prosperity in our society for granted, for it has taken us almost half a century to get to where we are today. :celebrate:

Went to the Parade. Carried my 16kg sleeping boy from Marina Sq to the Floating Platform....can hardly feel my arms now . Kiasu me reached before 5pm.
Parade ended at 8.45++, we left the carpark almost an hour later (imagine the jam!!). Reached home 10pm++. Kid dozed off in the car. Just managed to settled down.

Atmosphere is electrifying!

Happy Birthday Singapore! :celebrate: My best National Day ever. :celebrate:

We watched the parade on tv... DW, me and DS1 (who was not too keen) recited the pledge with MIL and maid standing as well at 8.22pm.

Thot we liked this year's parade, well arranged and the prog progressed very seamlessly... Not draggy at all :celebrate:
