Even if they do not sell in school, kids still have them at home. Isn't it the same?

Most of the ice creams are less sweeten nowadays... let them have something to cool themselves at this weather...

I have fond memories of my "ice cream moments" in lower primary school... something like comfort food?!

My dd's school canteen dun sell ice cream. But the mobile ice-cream uncle based himself outside the school gate during dismissal time. Good business

I think it's easier to teach kid what to spend on then relying on the school to 'ban' selling of ice cream. JMHO

Yeah, i think its fine to have ice cream even in canteen.
Perhaps you could educate ur kid that they could have it but less frequently . advocate its fattening and dont give too much pocket money . :)

I used to have the Sarsi flavoured ice pop during recess more than 20 years ago. How I miss that!

Agree. I set limits for my kids for sweets, ice cream, soft drinks etc, explaining why, and so far, they have been sensible about indulging.

My boy school used to have ice cream and fried stuff, snacks. I think it is good to suggest to school to improve their school menu and create a healthy eating environment. It is not easy to to just educate kids, as kids being kids. My boy said he saw some kids skipping food and indulge in ice cream or snacks almosd every day. For kids prone to coughing or could trigger serious relapse of condition if they lack the self discipline to control intake of cold drinks, parents will be constantly worried.
Yes, let there be ice cream, but maybe only for sale on mondays only etc. My views.

My sons' school sell ice-cream only on Mondays at the canteen. So the younger one actually look forward to Mondays! :)
