Wood burning smell in the air in balmoral/chancery area

Postby 路人甲 » Fri Apr 19, 2013 4:14 pm

Hi, for the past few days, we noticed a wood burning smell in the air as early as 6+am.

Today, we could smell it the whole day and outside seems a bit foggy?

Is it the smoke from Indonesia or something else burning in these areas.

Anyone notice the smell?

Yup, I stay in the west. Have been detecting the burning smell for the last few days also. Today is super bad, I can even smell it inside my office aircon now! And I am asthmatic, already have some breathing difficulties these few days. so I must make sure my inhaler is with me at all times....

Something is very wrong...the haze is so bad and I am sneezing badly.
Psi meter must have gone haywire. It wasn't this bad yest but it is NOW.

Though it was raining this morning, the rain came with a burnt smell.

The burnt smell was quite strong in the late morning rain. I thought some electrical appliances short circuited and went round the house checking.

Now it is hazy.

Yup. Hazy. I thought it was fog because it was raining just now. But the burn smell is unmistakeable. PSI readings inaccurate? Faulty machine?

The PSI cannot be just 31. I was just called to school to fetch DS2 home as he felt chest tightness and difficulty to breathe. Please let this hazy weather pass..more people are going to fall sick if this goes on. :nailbite:

Yes I could smell it very badly when I left my home around 4pm. My nose started running and my preschooler keeps coughing. :( good idea on keeping inhaler on hand. Ds didn't need it until of late. I feel so worried for him. Would really like to know the source for this haze.
