Please alert an adult immediately regarding your friend's case! It can be yr school teacher or your friend's parents. The support of family and friends is very important to the depressed individuals.
As a friend, what you can do is to provide support by lending a ear to your friend, but the troubles he/she face may not be something that you can or should attempt to fix on your own, so please alert an adult immediately!

Talk to the school counsellor, or a sympathetic teacher. Do it now!

There is little you can do to prevent stress, but there are many things you can do to manage stress more effectively, such as learning how to relax, taking regular exercise and adopting good time-management techniques. It may take some time to cope up with stress so it's also important to reach out to people who can help you like family and friends..

a common cause of stress is work or procrastination. it can also be caused by being around "certain" people. one way to cope with stress is to have some downtime, relax and have some time to yourself or your loved ones
