:rotflmao: Maybe can charge cheaper and flyer turning much faster. Then more fun.

Has anyone gone on similar ferris wheels, eg. London Eye? I brought my kids on the Singapore Flyer once, but we also found it rather boring after about 10 mins, so we didn't bother with similar ones elsewhere. Are the ones in other countries any better? Can Singapore Flyer learn from them?

Agree that it's not exciting at all when up there.

Don't bring young kids there - for sure they will be bored after the first 5 min running from one side to another. After that, sure got nothing to interest them.

The high price is definitely not helping to pull in crowd, and this is made worse by:

- very expensive food at the food street downstairs
- no easy access if not driving
- nothing much to do around the place apart from the flyer
- the high-profile stoppages encountered in the past

Also, there are special cabins reserved for special guests (got food, and dunno what). These are further waste, as I'm skeptical if anyone will want them.

And, btw, it was a challenge to get my elderly mother to board the cabin as she is not super mobile. If we increase the speed, I might have the same problem going up/down...

Then they have to standby:
1) Plastic bags for tourists throwing up
2) Seat belts for everyone
3) Ambulances for those that suffer heart attacks
4) Insurance to protect against all the law suits
5) Additional maintenance to ensure the wheel stay in place, otherwise everyone entering must show passport and go through customs in case the wheel rolls over to Indonesia.

No... the costs don't add up.
