My little one drew a card for hubby. It's nothing fantastic but with lots of little details - hubby, me and himself (my son), our home, his toys which includes a rocket, a catapult, some toy trucks, dodo bear, bluey bear and dino (3 soft toys), trains and tracks.

Hubby was beaming from ear to ear.

A tribute to daddies....

The male of most species is hardly involved in nurturing. Child rearing is strictly for the mother in most species. Worse still , in some species, the mother has the role of keeping its young from becoming a prey to its father.

Even in humans for centuries man has provided for his children, but been less involved in nurturing his offsprings. But in the last century, the male species of human has evolved so much. They have become very much involved in taking care of children in their day to day activities, and to such extent that women have begin to envy this close bond that dad's share with children. Hats off to the Dads!

A mother is one who carries her child on her hips , and tells " look my child , the world. See that , see this, this is how you do, that is what is right, ....." and thus teaches her child what she sees around her.

A dad is one who hoists his child high on his shoulders and says, " look my child , far into the horizon, of places my eyes cant see, of a future I cannot imagine... But you, my child, can go there. Stand firm on my shoulders and reach out for them. "

Dads out there :salute:
