where to find those motorised cars and bikes?

Postby penglee » Sun Oct 04, 2009 1:55 am

Any recommendations near Sengkang/Hougang/kovan/serangoon malls?
Would like to my kids to relieve my own childhood memories.

Rate used to be 50cents/10min (30 years ago haha)

You mean those that are like pedal cars but run by battery? People's Park Complex has them at night. Not sure if it is only on weekends. IMM (outside Best Denki, I think) has them too but in the form of animals. I think the rate is more expensive now though.

Sorry, I stay in the west so dunno about your area.

I think some places where you can get at $100. Just charge & play when you like! Let me see where these shops sell!

thks both for feedback.
This pedal rides used to be very common, around every neighbourhood corners.

Titank : I also got one battery Ride at home.
Normally major shopping centres and ToysR'us carries them.
But I want the kids to go to a mini-circuit, and rAce/bang each other :p

There's one at Bedok central, at the open area in front of NTUC. They have motor bikes/cars that come with remote control so parents can steer for the kids who are too young to steer themselves.

How about something similar, but not quite the same :

Direct quote from Sunday Times :

Luge & Skyride

Part go-kart, part sled-ride, with unique braking system that allows you to control your sped down a 650m course. Then take the skyride, an aerial 4-seater scenic ride back up to the top for another round.

Opens 10am to 9.30pm daily. Children have to be above 1.1m to ride alone on the luge, and above 85cm for the skyride. Otherwise, adults will have to ride with them.

It's at Sentosa, Imbiah Lookout (beside Beach Station). www.sentosa.com.sg

The luge and skyride are great and fun, but definitely not for horsing around and banging each other. At the speed of going downhill... it can be quite dangerous if you collide with another player.
