Name sticker printing

Postby nansk » Mon Aug 05, 2013 12:15 pm

I want to print out small stickers of my own name, phone number and email address, to stick inside my books and at the back of my technology gadgets. The stickers should be about half the size of a namecard.

I don't want those cutesy stickers like the ones kids put on their water bottles.

Where can I get this service? Any suggestions?

Alternatively, can I print these things at home? What kind of paper and software do I need? I have an HP Officejet Pro 8600 Plus.

There are blank sticker sheets, similar to what pple who attend courses or events use to write their names and stick on their shirts. Can chk if Popular sell them.

Can be used on printer but need to select the setup.

You will probably need to use clear scotch tape over the sticker becos the adhesive of such stickers is not "strong"

Thanks. I have one of those blank sticker sheet sets. We use it to label the adaptors of our various devices. How do I set up the printer to print on these sheets? Any link to online guide/video?

I have not tried setting up the print option for such sticker sheet. Maybe explore the print option, the pull down option to select printing paper size? Or maybe type the information on excel worksheet and trial and error to have same alignment as the sticker sheet.

For such project, I usually trial and error, I'm not very technical heehee.

Nooo dun do trial and error ;) ... in MS Word, just select print labels or something and there is an option to choose the brand of the labels. Always buy the branded labels so that the model numbers are included. Once selected, the template will appear and you just input the text. Very easy, no formatting problems.

if you buy the Avery labels (which you should be able to find in any decent office supplies shop like Evergreen, popular, you can go to their website to get the template for their labels.
http://www.avery.com/avery/en_us/

hope that helps

Thanks, cherrygal and ponyo! This is very helpful info!
Will check out the label printing options in MSWord.
I had read about the Avery labels but never noticed them in Popular or Evergreen. I'll look out for them.

nansk, OT a bit... just wonder how long have u been using this printer ?
How is its performance ? I am thinking of getting this, or wait for the other model 8600 premium. I hv already had a hp laser printer at home but the cost of printing is really too costly with laser printer , esply when we need to print lots of school documents. Any adv ?
