Anyone has more info on the eligibility to apply for such flats? To apply, does that mean my parents need to sell their hdb flats too?

If you want a flat for 3G, wouldn't an EA be better? The 3G flat is not much bigger than a 5-room except for the additional toilet - and who needs an extra toilet to clean up? Some more have to pay extra for utilities. :siao:

But they no longer build EAs..

The current 5 rms are 110sqm with 3 rms 2 toilets. The 3G at 115sqm will hv 4 rms and 3 toilets. Difference of 5sqm only and they want to put in an extra room and toilet!!

All my rooms in my 110sqm flat are really really small.. Even my master bedroom. I just can't imagine how much smaller are they going to be in the 3G flats.

Ha.. The only attractiveness of 3G flats to me is 4 bedrooms & i thought the additional attached toilet would be good for my parents.. Honestly, i'm not keen to apply for katib area as i'm more used to staying north east.. Hopefully i can find a resale EA tat fits my requirements..

I think it's going to be very small. Just sold my 5-rm which has 3 big rms and 1 study (can be room too) and 2 toilets. 122sqm. Which I think is a just nice size for 1 set of grandparents, 1 couple and maybe 2 kids. If want, can put a maid in comfortably too!

initially I thought it will be dual key with separate living area but still easily accessible to common living room.

The other "shortcoming" of the 3G flat - you can only sell to another 3G family. Good luck on finding another one.

The additional resell condition will make it harder to find buyer in the future.
