Good that our pp do not not blindly follow these trashy western influence just because they are operating 'in 30 or so countries'.

Read that they are consulting their legal advisors on the ban. :scratchhead:

It's not exactly trashy western influence.

It was not uncommon in Chinese society to have 三妻四妾. Now there are 小三 too. Sometimes I think monogamy is very much a western influence. :duck:

Doesn't matter how many countries welcome it, I support Singapore's ban. Ban on I say.

The ban can help to stop love or money cheats on the net. But it will not stop people from finding flings offline. When they find 二奶 小三 they do it overseas. Why do it here when it is so expensive and inconvenient? Very easy to get found out.

This ban will not stop husbands/wives fr having affairs.

It is just like we all know drugs are being consumed discreetly in the pubs but we still must ban drugs. Same line of reasoning.

A society agrees and disagrees on what is acceptable and what is not. When a force penetrates a society that is generally unacceptable by the society, govts can help to protect its people from it. A large part of it remains in the hands of the individual and society in a united strength to continue to reject or accept.

I am for rejection in this case. I am for the ban.

A ban is a must.

U know what convenience this A.M portal brings to pp with weak resolve and strong lust? Instead of scouring thru the nightspots of Singapore (or workplaces) and waiting indefinitely to chance upon that moment of chemistry to unleash one's passions licentiously, this A.M. is helping to eliminate the element of Chance and indefinite predatory time for a lonely or dissatisfied spouse.

At the click of a button, a member can pick from a list of likeminded adultresses/womanisers in one's own country, who share the same warped mindset and immoral values as one. One won't need to second guess whether the hot chick one has met at Velvet feels the same vibes as you did, because A.M. has already done the "due diligence" for you, so the "courtship", "flirting" and "guessing" layers have been cleanly removed for the member.

Of course, some may say there're other forums or websites that unfaithful spouses can still visit to prey on potential partners, but it's less convenient and the signals one get from such random sites are less direct than what one may get from A.M.

It's a positive move to block this site. Govt cannot regulate pp's passion and lust, but a responsible Govt can build a firewall to prevent the fiery passion from getting too near to pp.
