A man who frightened passengers by carrying a sword while boarding a train has been arrested.

A photo uploaded on The Straits Times's twitter account appears to show the man being apprehended by a number of police officers.

STOMPer Qarl had earlier sent in photos showing the commotion that ensued after the man boarded the train.

Screenshots of a video of the incident has also been published on AsiaOne.

According to the STOMPer, passengers were frightened when they caught sight of the man and moved to one corner of the train.

Police officers were also called to the scene.

In a phone conversation with the STOMPer, he said:

"I saw these photos on Twitter today (Dec 16).

"A big-sized man was seen holding onto a sword when he boarded the train.

"According to the person who tweeted the photos, the man was shouting and commuters were seen running to one side of the train in fear.

"Police officers were also called to the scene and was seen protecting these civilians.

"From what I understand, the man just alighted the train at Dhoby Ghaut station."

Nuts can barely describe that guy. Maybe he is grabbing for his moment of fame. Or infamy.

Is he into Cosplay ninja? He should at least put on the correct attire befitting to the sword. Why is SG so happening these days?

Stress or boredom?

I really find this hilarious :rotflmao:

Just thinking aloud what I would do if I am on the same carriage. Think I will keep a distance and get off at the next stop... Imagine being stuck on the same train and the samurai goes berserk :yikes:
