Why Teochew food dominate over Hokkien food in S'pore?

1. Bak Kut Tech (S'pore version is Teochew while M'sia version is Hokkien)
2. Char Kway Teow (S'pore version is Teochew while M'sia version is Hokkien)
And a lot of other popular local food are Teochew:
3. bak chor mee
4. soon kueh (there is also a Hakka version)
5. fish ball noodles
6. kway chap
7. shui kway
8. or jian (fried oyster)
9. braised duck
10. etc
