Strangely enough, curling is quite hypnotic.......

And the cross country skiing, my goodness, the physical effort required in that is just unbelievable.

Ya. Curling is quite hypnotic to watch. For me maybe because I am still figuring out what the sweepers (what do you call those people?) are trying to do :scratchhead: . Maybe I should check wikipedia...

I didn't know Vanessa Mae is so rich :yikes: until I checked her wikipedia after it was announced that she is representing Thailand. Time to check Lang Lang's wealth...

Have you ever wondered why there are no pimply athletes in winter olympics? :scratchhead: Their skin is so smooth...

The 'sweepers' are smoothing the ice in front of the stone to allow for a smooth run.

Wah! Didn't expect so many Curling fans!!

I find it so 'engineering'...like the launch speed, the friction, the impact...must combined to be just right. The best part is still the sweeping when the sweepers go into the sweeping spasm...I like!!
