Since young, my family always have a special dinner for this day. But I realised that not all chinese in SG treats it with the same importance.

We always prefer the traditional DIY, no fillings inside tang yuan. With brown sugar, its simply awesome ! :D Yummy !

I think its impt to teach our kids abt chinese traditional celebrations and the meaning of it. (Not only just CNY). Like Dong Zhi, we always make it a point to have dinner together and why ppl celebrate such days.
Chinese traditions and values are still impt in the upbringing of a child to me.

Think chinese traditional festivals are quite well spaced for quarterly reunion.

1st qtr - CNY
2nd/3rd qtr - duan wu jie
3rd/4th - mid autumn festival
end of 4th - dong ji

:celebrate:
