Only the very rich will drive. The rest all take public transport....

Lower income people also drive, but they drive vans or pickups to fetch their kids. Taxi drivers will use their own vehicles to do that.

that's what i said too last week (Point 2). But Chris Tan in his Sat article wrote we are already tracked via our mobile phones, so what the heck...
How are all phones tracked? Need to have GPS switched on? Or just by switching on the phones will mean tracking starts?

What will happen if all the data of who is going where at what time, is hacked into and stolen? Sure got people develop cold feet
Probably signals coming out from your phones...that's how they tried to track those MH370 missing victims or earthquake victims right? You read in the papers sometimes that the authorities detected HP signals from underground, etc...

That's why I don't geo-tag my photos or use digital cams' GPS function.

Once, I "checked in" McDonald's East Coast Park with some burger photos, and lo & behold, I got a phone call minutes later from my guy friend. He was just round the corner at a bike shop! So scary...

Erh... don't think there are so many cars to cause jam to delay shuttle buses that service neighbourhood routes only. The road is mostly clear.
Well, in some neighborhood, sometimes the road is so packed that between 2 traffic lights along the same road it's filled with cars.

pedestrians simply cross the road even when the red man is on bcoz all the cars are stationary.

Taxi drivers not rich

Delivery drivers not rich
so if not rich but want to drive, can consider these routes....

take taxi lor.

taxi is more efficient use of vehicles, like delivery vans. they are usually on the road moving goods or pple, and not parked somewhere wasting precious land majority of the time.

many poor pple fetching kids and old pple too.. and they don't drive. So it's not an excuse.

if really really got some "specials needs", ask for social assistance on case by case basis lor.

so delivery drivers and taxi drivers will be "promoted" to be 1 of the desirable careers options for those who die die muz drive.. They should be proud of their occupation..

And only Singaporeans can be taxi drivers.. no foreign competition.

after ERP 2.0 from 2020, the traffic condition will be back to before ERP 1.0..... coz the charges will be based on usage not where the vehicles go..... well, its going to be back to square one.... who would want to use normal road if can use expressway with same charges ? :slapshead: and no matter what the drivers will have to pay more eventually :moneyflies:
