Tragedy struck this morning, involving the deaths of two SMRT maintenance staff on the tracks near Pasir Ris MRT station.
SMRT first noted about an unclear incident that transpired on the East-West Line at 11.39am that resulted in the suspension of train services between Tanah Merah and Pasir Ris stations in both directions.

The incident — yet to be revealed in detail by the public transport operators — resulted in the deaths of two of their staff.
"We convey our deepest condolences to their families and are providing support to them at this very difficult time," they stated. "We are working with the Police to conduct a detailed investigation into this accident."

SINGAPORE — Rescuers have extricated the bodies of the two SMRT maintenance staff who were killed in a track accident near the Pasir Ris MRT station on Tuesday morning (March 22). The train that was involved in the accident was also seen slowing moving back into the station around 1.15pm.

earlier version say train collision

look like the train collided with the workers, not train to train collision
