Lazy Teachers, Lying Teachers -How to deal with them?

Postby AgonyMum » Tue Apr 05, 2016 12:39 pm

Dear parents,
If a teacher is very lazy, does the bare minimum and when complained to, lies through her teeth, what can we do? Teacher is old-timer, of course, 23 years experience just taking fat paycheck every month. HOD is useless too, shield all the way. Will MOE be effective?

How about the Principal? Is your view shared by many classmates' parents?

Go to the principal with enough evidence to back up your case. If principal can't help, go to MOE.

Thanks parents for reply but think moe lost power already. Another incident ( not me, classmate in same class)with another HOD was supposedly investigated. Moe officer called school n so on but HOD seemed undisturbed. In the end, no outcome. What is happening? Other than moe, any other ideas?
I am afraid later my child kena marked. So headache.

Forgot to mention that principal never even reply our email only asked the head to handle. No use. Like playing hide n seek.

If there is no reply, just forward the same email to moe, and you can always email to the minister himself

Sometime the movement is not immediate

Transfer is at periodic interval.

Only contract staff could go immediately

If the complaint is vague like this, then it is unlikely MOE can or will do anything.

Nor if the complaint is that the teacher did not do more than "the bare minimum". How can someone be disciplined for doing "the bare minimum" required of his/her job? Would be different if he/she does less than the minimum.
