Life Transformers - Xin Qing Da Dong Yuan

Did anybody follow that series that just ended on Monday?

Couldnt believe that an 80 year old lady still has to take care of her 50+ children who are not married. She still cooks, launders and cleans for them!

But I thoroughly enjoyed the series and made my daughter watch it so that she knows how fortunate and well provided she is.

I did. Was so touching.
She is a good '活到老学到老' example.
:salute: to her.

I actually missed the first half. Whats the problem with her 2 kids? How come they are not taking care of her?

Really? But they looked quite normal to me. What kind of mental problems do they have?

:? Hmm... how to say?
DD2 is the 'dangerous' type as she can 'play' with fire.
I think she did put a small fire once & that caused the house to become total darkness due to the electrical wiring burned.

So meaning that they are not very logical in their thoughts and therfore, we can't expect them to take care of their mother? It's difficult for me to understand but in this case, I find them very much like parasites more than anything else.

I missed last Mon's episode but managed to catch some of their earlier ones. I made my girls watch too. It really puts things into perspective and teaches us to be grateful with what we have, and not take things for granted.

Some of the families are in quite heart-wrenching state. Sigh... :(

I watched it and must that that this old lady has my respect.... Despite her age, she manages her home, cleaning sweeping washing etc and has to take care of her 2 children.

What is so amazing to me is that she eats left overs for days and weeks over even... wow. The rice that is hardened, soak in water and heat up again to be eaten... Just so that whatever pittance of money she has can last longer.

What she cannot afford to eat eg fish, she makes sure she does not crave for it... Just so that if she passes on... She would not have any regrets.

I admire her deeply... Her quest for knowledge despite her age, newspapers are her best friends and whenever she comes across a difficult word, she would refer to her torn tattered 50yr old dictionary.

I hope for the best for this old lady
