Aiyoh, I think many people may quit the sector. They have to join the FET even if they are vaccinated. Must bruise their nostrils once a fortnight.

"5. As part of the national Fast and Easy Testing (FET) regime, a smaller group of staff will also have to be regularly tested, even if they are vaccinated, due to their involvement in higher-risk activities. This will include contract cleaners and school canteen operators, as well as PE teachers who conduct mask-off activities as part of PE lessons in our schools. From 3 September 2021, it will also include cleaners in tuition a4nd enrichment centres that cater to students aged 12 and below. Tuition and enrichment centres can register for FET and obtain more details at: https://go.gov.sg/tuition-enrichment-fet."

:scratchhead: How come I see on the news in China they swab through the mouth?

Is that why they can test an entire city... 4 times?

“ impacts a more targeted group of students. Where possible, schools will no longer place entire levels on Home-Based Learning (HBL) as a default when there is a COVID-19 infection case, but focus on placing close contacts and students from the same classes or CCA groups under LOA or QO instead. This approach will allow the rest of the students and teachers in the level and school to continue with classes in school and minimise disruption, while safeguarding their health and safety. Placing more classes or levels on HBL remains an option should there be a risk of transmission beyond close contacts. Our schools will also continue to monitor the health of students and staff more closely as an additional precaution.”

This ties in with what I heard. Friend’s kid took PSLE Oral Day 1 on Thurs. Their school announced Thurs there was a Covid case in their level (P6) but only the close contacts were placed on LOA/QO. The rest of the P6s could return to school next day Fri for PSLE Oral Day 2.
Last year I was very worried we/kid get hit with QO/LOA and cannot sit for the written exams. It is what it is but just feel so bad for some of these kids if PSLE prep/testing is disrupted. Hope most will make it through from now to early-Oct without issues. I think SEAB/MOE does allow some make-up window for oral this year (LC and written papers still subject to special considerations)?

Seek clarification, pls.
I understand that the TT app in our hp displays our vaccination status.
For those using TT token, when tap at the Safe Entry Gateway, would the vaccination status be displayed at the business end ?
Thank you.

For every successful referral of an unvaccinated senior aged 60 years and above, $30 HPB eVouchers will be given to the referrer as a token of appreciation once HPB has verified that the referred senior has completed both doses of the covid-19 vaccination.
