I don't even realise their next review is on 21st November. LW or someone has already said they won't be increasing the 2-pax dine-in any sooner.

This split table has cost my family quite a far bit as we cannot share food in Chinese restaurants, yet we do not want to compromise on the variety of dishes we could savour. So it's 1.5 - 2 times more than what we'd usually order, as in each table had to order 1x char siew chee cheong fun + 1 x prawn chee cheong fun = 4 plates in total! :siao:
I remember LW saying (just before 24 Oct), that there could be some relaxation after 2 weeks, subject to case nos. But that isn't going to happen, I'm sure. The extension from 25 Oct was to be until 21 Nov, so he will have to make another statement by then. If there's another 4-week extension, that takes it to just before Christmas.

Maybe it'll be relaxed soon. Yesterday's Rt was 0.98

It's already very crowded in Orchard on weekends.

I feel that relaxation of measures will probably come when they have sufficient support on the healthcare system..
There's been no news on those 3,700 CTF beds they announced early Oct. The beds were supposed to be ready end-Oct.

Only heard about the 600 extra beds for CCF at F1 Pit Building. Don't know whom they are set up for. Domestic helpers or migrant workers, since it is an open-concept '方舱' style facility??

I find their use of the weekly infection growth rate rather peculiar. Other developed countries would report the daily/weekly Rt effective no. I don't know why our MTF uses weekly infection growth rate. This refers to the ratio of community cases in the past week over the week before. A weekly infection growth rate that is more than one shows the number of new weekly Covid-19 cases is still increasing.
I m just thinking is the ratio manageable as in more excluded in PCR test then numbers will drop? Btw, I don't know/never chk the formula la..just thinking..

Not sure abt the CTF beds..but the other day read icu can ramp up but not enough HCW..something like that so could be the reason..

Do you know how many have passed on in the month of Oct alone?
Nope, no longer seeing any death stats on MOH FB.

Read about HC's post on replacement deaths:

I've not been visiting MOH website for many weeks. But last night I happened to see one sharp-eyed netizen flag out Figure 3. There's one 0-11yo child in ICU now.

Should be an error. Or at least I trust that any reporters monitoring the gossipy social media feeds would do their investigative jobs & warn us if it was indeed a real case.

Copy & paste from CNA 27Oct news..just saw it when searching for some news..

'Home recovery has been the default mode of care since Sep 15 for COVID-19 patients with mild or no symptoms. On average, around 70 per cent of those infected daily are recovering at home.'

On 2nd Nov with 3496 new covid cases, the weekly infection growth rate was 1.09

On 3rd Nov with 3635 new covid cases, the weekly infection growth rate was 0.96

So how accurate is the “weekly infection growth rate”? It was 0.96 yesterday due to the unexpected spike of 5K+ new cases last Wednesday?

So below 1.0, we can start to celebrate? I think there is something wrong with this weekly infection growth rate calculation. At 0.96 but the new cases yesterday was more than those the day before.

Like stock market indices?? Up down up down, so volatile! May be better to get the average on a weekly basis to iron out the spikes and dips.

Another thing is, some days there is more testing, some days fewer tests (like PH or weekends), this should be normalized as well.
