RWS spooked on P. Blakang Mati?

Postby Way2GO » Sun Mar 28, 2010 5:00 pm

Not very auspicious start for RWS on Sentosa leh......

Within a space of < 2 weeks:

. Rained cat n dogs on opening day.

. Star attraction Battlestar Galactica broke down last week n still couldn't fly

. 'Sex bomb' Tom Jones bombed out last Friday n couldn't sing

On top of these, naked PRC FT found drowned in private pool at 1*0 Sentosa Cove.

Bad feng shui on island formerly known as P. Blakang Mati?

More woes at RWS last week....

. A 44 yo man died while playing at casino

. Revenge of the Mummies ride was temporarily shut down due to technical glitch

Did RWS rush to open USS? Why the technical glitches and safety checks so soon after opening?

Very happening hor. Has P. Blakang Mati started to stir :!:

:nailbite: :scared:
 not.......

Oh dear, makes me shudder to think about the safety issue! :scared: Yes, wonder if they did rush into things by opening the USS? :?

Still
better be safe than sorry
But if this continues, USS will soon acquire a bad reputation
Not good at all.

That's what I mean. They should have tested, checked, tested again before opening the USS. Definitely not a good sign to have a soft opening, only to close certain rides/attractions within a week of soft opening.

Yes, this opening and shutting down of rides/attraction is definitely not good for our reputation, first IR somemore! Bet Marina Sands is learning from their bad experience!

From http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sook_Ching_massacre :
Another [Sook Ching massacre] site was Berhala Reping at Sentosa Beach (now Serapong Golf Course after land reclamation). Surrendered British gunners awaiting Japanese internment buried some 300 bullet-ridden corpses washed up on the shore of Sentosa. They were civilians who were transported from the docks at Tanjong Pagar to be killed at sea nearby.

On our previous trips to Sentosa, I've never liked staying past sunset. In case you've not noticed, the majority of the drowning victims at the beaches or hotel pools are Japanese. Guess the spirits of the WWII dead are still restless. Dunno if SDC or Resorts World did a proper and thorough job of guiding them on to the realm they belong to.

Hi Muffins,
Don't think so.
Sentosa has a bit of history behind it
The old name " P. Blakang Mati" doesn't exactly give out positive vibes.
Could be coincidences,
or purely statistical occurrences.

Just RWS/USS's bad luck so many negative things happened
since opening within a short two weeks.
