Hi all,

I have decided to compile and edit selections of pieces covering the initial 5 grades of UK’s music exam system and I will give these away for free. I have completed the first book in the series and here it is for you to try out. All the pieces chosen in this book belong to public domain library and can be freely printed for your own purpose. I have tried my best to present a broad range of styles and composers that will appeal to different musical tastes. Teaching notes have been included at the back of the book containing some useful tips for teachers and students. Audio recordings of these pieces are included as well in Youtube, though bear with me as I do not have access to proper recording setup so the sound quality is not as good as I expected. I hope you enjoy the pieces I have chosen to include in this book and any constructive comments would be truly appreciated.

I am happy to say Amazon has accepted my submission and this book is now available at Amazon Kindle Store, though unfortunately I can't set the pricing as free as Kindle requires a minimum price of $ 0.99. The PDF file in this thread is the same one as the Kindle edition, so you can still download that and use Adobe Reader and read it on your tablets.

Download the Kindle edition here:

Very nice. I like the way you layout the score, easy to read. I think this is better than a lot of the commercial ones. Thank you for this resource.
