Anyone takes scout as CCA - urgent

Can someone advise me whether it is a good idea to let my child takes up scout as CCA? I like him to take up robotic club but the vacancy is filled. Any advise.. :idea:

It is a great CCA. It teaches kids how to problem solve and help others. All the top ministers were scouts once, including the President.

DS just joined scout for his CCA. His is looking forward to earning badges.

He told me him and his friends tried pitching a tent the other day. So I think scout enables him to learn to make friends, how to work as a team etc. School is so stressful now a days that I just want him to enjoy what he is doing.

DS was reciting the scout pledge to me, I think it's so cute :D
