The next day at midnight,he saw an alien and chased it.
My son said his friend described it as a mosquito.

Today my son said need to go to library with his friend for one hour.I asked why.He said they r going to do a project about alien. Then I said cannot. My son didn't believe about aliens. How can I handle this situation?

Note:The friend's parents in overseas and grown up with gradparents from P2 onwards. He was 1st in class in P1.He is a good and knowledgeble boy.

Pls help me.thanks in advance.

Maybe it's Grandma who has been telling the kid these stories!! :stupid:

seriously, it's a good time to share with your son your own beliefs. In fact, I think it's a goods thing for him to go to the library and do his research, but must share his finding with you.

Nothing wrong with believing in aliens, but he sounds like a very lonely child who is bright but feels isolated. Since you said he is actually a good boy, you have to decide if you want to include him in your family so that you can influence him (e.g talk to him, invite him over for meals, playdates, do project at your place) or approach the teacher to raise it with the school counsellor. If the boys are really interested in aliens, you can look for good documentaries on science and outer space where they discuss the possibility of alien life forms (there are a lot of poorly made ones even on National Geographic etc so choose carefully)and the preconditions for life on other planets. You can also get them science magazines or articles that discuss things like the Goldilock zone. Or redirect their interest to other science research. Just my 2c.

Thanks deminc! :salute:

He can't come to our house as his grandparents not allowed him to go out to friends' houses.Grandfather only brought him and the boy said that his grandpa old he can't ride bicycle.Only one day he came when they were doing music project.
Now T gave them a science project. My son,he and another boy in the group.Good idea can divert their interest in different science project.Yesterday my son told him u can create a blog and u can write on it.May be I engourage them to collect information and write in the science blog.

I pity for him.Nobody there to guide him.

I also think to inform the T so they will counsell him, but I don't know how he will feel.
