I have a 10 years old relative's son who doesnt talk in school. He can communicate well at home or with people he is comfortable with. However, in school he doesnt talk to his friends or teachers. If he is required to speak to the teacher, he only whispers. When friends talk to him, he keeps quiet. When he needs help, he will not ask. He will sit there silently hoping help will come along. E.g forgot to bring pencil box during test, just sit there do nothing. During recess, will not talk to seller just point at the food and give money. Basically, he is lonely in school as nobody talks to him or bother him.

His mum is very concerned. Can anyone shares on how to help kid with such condition?
