Auditory learners

I just realized that DS is an auditory learner. He performs poorly in reading comprehension in all languages because he can't hear himself talking :gloomy: Anybody can share experience/tips? TIA

Teach him to "hear" himself in his head? I think that's what my husband and younger daughter (both quite auditory) do.
