I was hoping to find my kids a dragon (or two). I find them to be amazing creatures. Unfortunately, given their (fully grown) size, may not be suitable house pets for our tiny house. We settled for hamsters in the end.

Same family.
We have two winter whites.
I still very much prefer a dragon though as my hamsters refuse to respond to my command, “Dracarys”.

Hamsters respond only to food.

I had 2 of them. The are great with kids and do not bite. You must keep up with the cage cleaning though, which it sometimes a pain.

Hamsters. Dd loves them brings them out every afternoon to play with other kids in the block for a while. She is the “sole” caregiver for them and has become more responsible.

May I know where you find gerbil? Are they easier than hamsters?
