We like stationary the best. :)
An activity booklet included is also good.

My boy would have loved stickers.
Those 3-D stick-out types or shiny ones are his favourites.

Party Goodie/Loot Bags

Postby lovejesus_2005 » Fri Mar 27, 2009 4:28 pm

Once my boy got a goody bag which is actually a coin bank stuffed with lots of candy and such, it even came with a lock and key! But we soon forgot about the contents and so the edibles turned bad!

Is depend on the child age.
I think most children that below age 9 or so
will like to have stickers, colour book, balloon, sweets
You can refer to some of the children party supply or party web site for favour ideas. Don't have to buy from them just get some ideas.

Hope this help

I tend to avoid giving food because:
1. cheaper food tends to be rather unhealthy and/or full of colourings, additives, etc.
2. some children are fussy.
3. some parents are even fussier.
4. allergy concerns.

Therefore, I end up buying notepads, small sets of pens/markers/crayons, stickers and non-edible party ware like balloons and noisemakers. I try to find stuff that will appeal to both boys and girls so as to minimise the preparation and distribution headache.

ADD: Please note that I have only given out goodie bags to children aged 3 and above.

More or less, all party bag both boys had received are preety much similar. Both boys dun have anything either in particular or detest. To them, as long as there is party bg, they call us present, they will  From anything edible to non-edible,ie stationeries or toys, they will still  . As long as seeing them  the "present" from their friends, and the kind of happiness, i feel glad too. Nothing in particular of likes or dislikes..... :celebrate:

I've given candies in my son's bday goodie bag for his CC. But the candies are all organic & natural (from fruit juice). The kids & parents love it!

From the recent JL sale, I got some readers (akin to ladybird style) that had winnie the pooh stories at $2 each for DS birthday loot. not sure if that's within your budget.

There is another JL sale going on now at expo - you may be able to find other things that fit your budget.
